Google Sidewiki: The Future of Online Reputation Management?Posted by: alexaellis on Nov 02, 2009 Tagged in: Untagged |

Online marketing is a constantly changing arena, and the area of Online Reputation Management (ORM) is no different. Customers are constantly finding new ways to spread their experience about your company online, and one of the newest ways they are doing this is by using Google Sidewiki.
Google's definition of Sidewiki is that it "is a browser sidebar that lets you contribute and read information alongside any web page." However, the implications of this are much farther reaching. Now, customers can leave comments directly on your website for the world to see instead of posting their customer experience on another site. If someone has a negative comment about your company, you can't bury the results: they're right next to your homepage.
If you are part of a large organization, chances are there are already comments about pages on your website online. Even if you aren't part of a large organization, I encourage you to download Google Sidewiki immediately to see what others might be saying about your company online (you will need Internet Explorer or Firefox).
